de0u I originally had "4G/LTE only" as the cellular data setting, but was just messing with 5G one day to see if it was any faster and noticed I also have 5G+ in my area (possibly just more BS AT&T marketing). But then I left it on for a week or so and did not notice any discernable battery drain from when I was using LTE. In fact I seem to get better signal/more bars with 5G enabled. And since I am on Wifi most of the time, I rarely actually have to use cellular data.
JayJay the only 3rd party app I really need push for is signal, I do also use unifi protect (camera system) which uses GSF for it's push notifications, so that just flat out doesn't work. However it is something I can live with since I can still check my cameras manually of course, and I don't think the privacy tradeoff would be worth installing google play services.
However, it is my understanding you don't actually need a google account to use the play services, correct? As in, I could install the services through the Graphene Apps app, and that would enable GSF/push notifications for appss that use It?
