Hi, we have the above mentioned smartphone and want to put your grapheneos system on it, we know that it is not ideal in the security aspect and that pixel phones are recommended, but

we want to now if there are any experience so far with this phone or at least there brand/series.

Is it generally possible to install and run it on the phone ?

We are mainly interested in the privacy feature when it comes to geo tracking via gps, wifi and cellular towers, and we want to allow or block this features as we please.

Someone could port GrapheneOS to this phone, but it cannot be called GrapheneOS at that point.

GrapheneOS relies on the hardware having proper security features to be able to provide a lot of what it does.

I severely doubt that this device meets the criteria. A non exhaustive-list of such criteria can be found at https://grapheneos.org/faq#future-devices.

If you want to use GrapheneOS, I highly recommend just getting one of the supported devices.

Hi, first thanks for the quick anwser, but i did not meet quit our question.

-All you said is 100 % true, with out the right hardware architecture the software can not meet its potentcial.

-But with that phone the v20 pro we just want to achieve the control of our personal gps/tracking data.

-Our focus is to just ensure that we control if we are getting tracked or not.

So for us it is imporant if we can install it and than chose the gps, wifi , sim functions as we want, to have more privacy than with just our standard android (spy) system.

Hi, as @matchboxbananasynergy already said, you will not be able to install GrapheneOS on a non supported device, unfortunately there is nothing more we can do.
