Elk9877 Pixel 6 and 7 have not been strong on battery life. I was hoping the 8 would fix that, but perhaps not. I have a Pixel 6 on Android 14 only and a 6a on GOS. The Pixel 6 with Android only gets better battery life than the GOS 6a. I am also not a power phone user, so no prob for me (prefer a larger screen laptop for most tasks), but my GF is a power smartphone user and she dumped a Pixel 6 Android only to go back to Moto for much better battery life.
Otherwise, the Pixel is a great phone. For a user who is not a bigtime gamer I see the Pixel phones as just fine hardware-wise compared to Samsung. For what most people do on a phone, you will not notice a difference between the latest Pixel compared to the latest high-end Samsung. Where you may notice a difference, say with screen clarity and color saturation, it is not a big deal once you get used to the Pixel.
I will say the bloatware alone would make me never consider a Samsung and I would go with the clean Pixel interface even if just on Android, but GOS is the cherry on top.
