Sorry if off topic!

I know NOTHING about coding.

Am sure that the start would be very confusing.
I might find myself quitting and coming back at a later time.

Which is why I don't want to put money up for it.

CodeA has a deal happening and that's still to much. Also some of the reviews say it doesn't help with 'project development'. Not saying I know exactly what that means but I have an idea. Someone then pointed me toward 'Odin Project' which dose that yet also cost money.

Can anyone thing of any free and easy to under platforms out there ?

Again I know NOTHING.

Obviously, I want to follow the money. Yet I want a strong foundation in something I can use anywhere.

I've heard of Java, Python, UX design, cyber security.
Yet people are employing 'full stacked' developers only ?

Thanks!!!

Hey @Keurig! I have removed the "[Off-topic]" tag from the title and instead used the label for it instead. :)

I think instead of approaching this from the perspective of programming languages, it might help to approach it from the perspective of "what would I like to develop?"

You can work from that to figure out what the best tools/languages would be for that, and focus your energy on learning those.

Hey there, you dont need to ad ,,(off topic)'', you can just add ,,off topic'' instead of ,,general''. But going back to the topic: my friend said good things about ,,bro code'', and when it comes to languages i think python and rust are the big ones, python is used for AI programming (if i remember correctly) and is easy to understand, plus it does not require compiling (compiling means, turning human understandable language into machine understandable language, by putting it into ,,compiler''), and rust is a memory safe language so you can avoid 70% of bugs as linux and chromium acknowledged that 70% of their bugs come from the fact that they used memory un-safe language. I don't recommend paying for courses if like you said: you know nothing. You should first at least program some silly program with a GUI. Because courses are cool and all, but you should know SOMETHING before them to make sure you take the knowledge from the courses to the fullest, because what can a course do for you if you cant even understand what they are saying?

Tuba Do you guys have an answer yet? I'm on the same problem. There are many youtube courses vut i didn't fi d one where i can jnderstand a thibg. I am an absolute beginner.
    A B S O L U T E.
But i want to learn so i need a tutorial for absolute beginners.

Quotesquestioner Well what do you want to make? If you want to make websites, look into HTML first. If you want simple apps or automated tasks then python would be good. I recommend you to start with something easy like Python or Lua. After that you can look at more complex stuff and it will be easier.

Also look at regular web results not only YT. Bunch of resources are outisde of yt. You can also ask ChatGPT to explain stuff when you're stuck. It will help you until a certain level of complexity.

duck.ai Here's a free chatbot to help you get started with the easy stuff. You can choose Llama if you want an open source assistant.

de0u now i have. Thank you very much for this tip! i can follow the videos and i finally start understand some things!

Rizzler i'm not yet into ai stuff. I never used one. But i want to. But the ai has to be offline and privacy focused. I heared that there are ai models that run on a pc offline.
But i didn't tryed it out yet.
Are there ai's that work on a pixel7a device fully offline? Or is this only for Pixel8 devices and above?
I wouldn't install google apps on my phone. Would i install an ai on my phone? Or would i not use ai on my phone because of the same reasons i don't have google apps? (I hope the question is understandable)

Quotesquestioner The service i linked is privacy focused. Its being eun by DuckDuckGo. Use their Llama model if you dont want to send openai anything. llama can also be ran locally but i dont know any that are on mobile.
