Great idea. I would buy a T- Shirt. A QR-code with a link to a small infopage about the project would be nice.

I would like a simple Black Tee Shirt, with a Small White GrapheneOS Logo on my upper left side. "Think Polo Shirt" Logo Placement. GrapheneOS Logo roughly same size as Polo Logo to slightly larger. No collar, just tee shirt.
I would buy this.

I like Tee Shirts with front upper left side pocket.
"Think Carhartt". So GrapheneOS Logo small and Centered on front Pocket would be nice. "For Me".
But dont think the pocket is a popular design with others.

Other suggestion is again a simple Black Tee Shirt, but with a Large White GrapheneOS Logo on the back of Tee Shirt. Centered. Nothing on Front.

Another Suggestion is a Velcro Patch. Many People like collecting Velcro Patches and attaching them to their hat/bag when they want but can easily remove if not in the mood to advertise.
A 2 × 3 inch hook/hook and loop Velcro Patch.

Would also buy stickers. Preferred the simple logo image. No White Border on Sticker. I like Clear Boarders on Stickers. Sized for back of phone to cover google logo.

I am very particular about Logos and I happen to like the GrapheneOS Logo very much. But only the Image version of the Logo. Not image and Text logo.
I personally would not buy anything with Text.
Would only want the Image.

Would it be feasible to make a repo of open source designs that can be sent to a print-on-demand shop to print them on stickers/Tshirts/mugs/whatever for personal use? ie open source the SVG or whatever file, with instructions to "go to example.com, select 'print my design on a ...', upload this SVG, ..."

Would probably cost more than printing them in a batch, but possibly save on postage and fees if you select a printer nearby and avoid international shipping. Some people also have their own printing facilities (vinyl cutters, 3d printers, laser cutters, toner transfer film) and can print at home.

Great, apart from GrapheneOS is global and shipping costs for hoodies etc would be greater that the garment.
imagine its produced in Canada and I live in Israel or Australia, shipping costs would be prohibitive.
Sticker packs, could be mailed economically to a global community, as could say, Iron on transfers of the GrapheneOS logo.
You purchase a light weight transfer of your choice, size, etc and apply it to whatever garment you desire.
That way bulky hoodies don't get mailed around the word at ridiculous delivery costs, but you end up with a garment of your choice with a GrapheneOS logo on it.
just an idea...

They wouldn't have to deal with the actual production, just license their logo to one or more merchandising producers (across different countries perhaps) and either get a fixed fee per item or a share of the profits.

Viewpoint0232 or they could provide a svg or eps, you'd pay for it + general instructions where to place the image on t-shirt. Print it in a shop you want.

as an extra, you'd be able to enter some custom text that would be embedded in the image (just to feel unique, optional).

The usual ones have terrible privacy policies. That hasn't stopped some communities from milking the proverbial cow (for marketing or whatever), though.
