Text editor recommendation please?

Just switched to GOS.

I used to use Jota text editor (free version), but seems new one installed from Play store via Aurora (no google services in owner profile), won't run without the googly bits.

Do you guys have a recommendation for a fav text editor?

Hmm - I just watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzpVI4zaso0 and now... I didn't even bother to install FDroid, and just downloaded Aurora from the FDroid website directly.

Looks nice but unfortunately not available on F-Droid and no APK on Github. I personally wouldn't want to bother installing another app store (Accrescent) for just one app.

DeletedUser28 With version 0.17.0, an apk file is added in the assets on the release on GitHub. It is recommended to use Accrescent for more security and (optional) automatic updates.

My favorite is Quillpad. Looks very much like Google Keep with the addition of markup editing.
It's supposed to sync through Nextcloud but I'm not a NC user so I can't test that.
Quillpad has a local backup option which I sync across devices with Syncthing.
