[deleted] Is there any risk of interference when activating advanced memory protection(MTE) on a Pixel 8 with the latest GrapheneOS installed?
If you run an app with certain memory access bugs that normally are not detected, and MTE detects them, the app will crash. Whether such a crash is a good thing depends on your perspective.
The GrapheneOS developers have indicated that the performance impact of the MTE approach they are using is minimal. Users can experiment for themselves!
Please note that I do not speak for the GrapheneOS project.
