Offline use problem of Google Speech Recognition

Helo,
obviously eSpeak is doesn’t support Android 14 on my Pixel 7a.
So I have installed Google Speech Recognition, preferently for use in German.
Though English and German are downloaded for offline use in the text-to-speech module
English alone is available in apps like Osmand or HereWeGo for audio navigation.
Changing system language and/or language in the apps doesn’t help.
While English works fine German remains mutely.
Is there any solution to get other languages working too instead of English?

Use an Open Source, designed to be used fully offline alternative such as FUTO Voice Input. Google wants you to be connected to their 'brain' and gimps their apps when forced offline.

Morapelor, thanks for reply.
Obviously FUTO Voice Input can't be used for text-to-speech but is designed for speech-to text.
Until now I couldn't find an OpenSource alternative to Google's Speech Recognition which is simple to install and really working.
Does anybody know an OpenSource text-to-speech alternative doing it's job for German too?

What exactly is the issue with eSpeak on your device? Where do you get stuck when trying to set it up?

An alternative to eSpeak is RHVoice.

The installation of eSpeak is refused. According to F-Droid Message it is incompatible with my phone (as told above GrapheneOS and Android 14).
And RHVoice has no German language module implemented.

worrix Which version of eSpeak is on F-Droid? The version on Play Store is 2.6.4 and it installs fine on my Pixel 7 running GrapheneOS (Android 14).

The F-Droid version is 1.51.
In the Google Playstore are 2 eSpeak apps listed: eSpeak V. 2.6.x (no trackers)
and eSpeak NG Text-to-Speech of RedToc Solutions (4 trackers).
According to your post you obviously have the first one in use.
I would have preferred this because of no trackers, but install was reported as impossible.
So I installed eSpeak NG of RedZoc - and it works.
I have no idea why eSpeak can't be installed - though much more newer as the F-Droid app.
Shortly iIfound a post anywhere reporting that eSpeak is in preparation for a new version with extended features.
Hopefully this will work for me too,contain no trackers/advertising and be hosted on F-Droid.
