Thanks for sharing the app with me. I tried downloading the app, but it looks like in order to the use the feature you're talking about users have to first pay for their pro version. So I was unable to test it.
I also checked reviews to see if anyone else had similar issues recently, but found none.
I gather that this app is pretty complex, so I feel kind of bad for my only suggestion. If I were in your situation, I'd delete the app's data and set it up again to see if that resolves the issue. You can do so by going to Settings > Apps > All apps > Time Recording > storage & cache > clear storage

If that doesn't work, then maybe your only way forward would be to contact the app's developer to see if this is a known issue.
