Pixel 8 Pro camera features

I'm on the experimental GOS build for the Pixel 8 Pro. I use Google Play Services and the Pixel Camera / Google Photos apps, downloaded through the Play Store.

I've found that the Magic Eraser works perfectly, even without Internet access given to either app. However, when I want to use the Magic Editor, it tells me that I need to upload the picture to Google's cloud first. Has anyone found a way to make this usable without uploading the picture first?

Also, just wondering, are there other AI features like this for the 8 series Pixels that are / aren't available on GOS?

For Magic Editor, you must enable Google Cloud Sync... I guess the "AI" feature of this Magic Editor is run not on the phone but in the Google Cloud...
It is not because of GOS. Same happens with official Google OS.

Orphee if you wanted to use Google cloud sync, could you use storage scopes to just allow a specific image to be seen by the Google cloud sync?

L8437 Interesting idea, I think yes. If Google photo is the only App that is used for the sync and it has scope storage, then only the photos that Google photo see will be synced.
