Graphene OS and OpenBSD

Hello, i read on graphene os page on https://grapheneos.org/faq#upstream ,,GrapheneOS has made substantial contributions to the privacy and security of the Android Open Source Project, along with contributions to the Linux kernel, LLVM, OpenBSD and other projects'' the last surprised me a little, what does graphene os project have to do with OpenBSD?

Tuba Before hardened_malloc, we made a port of OpenBSD malloc to Linux and Bionic and developed extensions to it. We made contributions upstream based on that, and some of them were accepted. We've made minor contributions to other OpenBSD projects. It's not something that's happening anymore and we could update the examples.
