Pixel 6a Stuck on GrapheneOS Logo

While trying to access Snapchat my Pixel 6a basically crashed and when it began restarting it went to the boot loader screen with the yellow warning sign, then to the Google logo and finally to the GrapheneOS logo. However, it did not reload into my phone and instead it stayed on that logo (which brightens and dims like a normal reset) for 8+ hours until the battery eventually died. After charging it back up, it did the same thing and will not finish the reset as if it's getting stuck somewhere. Now I've paused the reset and am at the boot loader screen with the yellow warning sign. I don't know what to do from here or why this happened in the first place.

After trying, I cannot go into recovery by holding the power and lower volume buttons. I can only pause or resume the reset and I can only get into the boot loader by draining the battery.

What happens if, at the "Press power button to resume" screen, you press and hold the power button for a long time, like 30+ seconds, and then, as soon as the screen goes black, press and hold the volume-down button? On my device that gets me into fastboot.
