How to have clean install of google play

Does anyone know, if I was to delete sandboxed Google Play Services apps, and then go in to settings -> accounts and select "remove account" for google, would it remove all google data tied to that account?

For example, if I then reinstalled the sandboxed google play apps and signed in with a different google account, would any data get sent to google that could tie me to the previous account?

If you're reinstalling it in the same user profile, they'll probably notice that the profile has the same ANDROID_ID: https://grapheneos.org/faq#non-hardware-identifiers

If you're installing it in a different user profile, they might use the device's MediaDrm ID, which currently is the same for all user profiles: https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/2314

(This is not limited to Google apps, any app can do it if they're so inclined.)

If you decide to go for a factory reset, you might want to check your MediaDrm ID before and afterwards because there was a report of even that not being enough to change it on a Pixel 6a: https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/5775-device-fingerprinting-test-results-concerns-and-questions/17

rustybird Thanks for the info. ANDROID_ID is a real PITA it seems.

Well, I don't have the energy to do another reinstall of grapheneos and all my app setup so I think I'll have to stick with my current google account for now and just lock it down as much as possible.
