sharing files between profiles - one workaround idea

The way I make this work for me is using Proton Drive, though any cloud file sharing account should work. I have PD installed on all profiles and use that to transfer files. It integrates easily with the system, so that saving files to it works exactly the same as saving them in any folder already on the device. Of course, if your threat model does not allow for connecting to a cloud service or having it installed on all ~~devices~~ profiles, this won't work for you, but it works well for me.

router99 Can you comment more about how Proton Drive is integrated into the system? I currently use Filen.io and it is not integrated but acts like its own file manager. How is Proton Dive different? Frankly, I cannot be bothered to create a Proton account so your answer would be much appreciated.

[deleted] For example, in the file manager, you can select a file and move it to Proton Drive by clicking the 3 dots in the right corner, selecting "Move to", then clicking the 3 parallel lines in the upper left corner, and selecting Proton Drive. Also, in the Gallery, you can long click a file, click the "share" icon, "see all", and Proton Drive is in the list.

router99 Thank you. I can share files from both the manager and the gallery into Filen but the option of moving a file to Filen is not available for me.
