Chromecast & Android tv remote

I can't get either of those to work. Chromecast does nothing. Google tv app was able to see my Android tv but it would never connect

Is there certain permissions I need to grant googe play services or something else that's going on? I could really benefit from getting these two things working.

I'm using the latest stable version of graphene os on pixel 7. Android 14.

Did you ever figure this out? I have a Pixel 7 as well. Seem to be able to connect to my Android TV but not use the phone as a remote control.

If your router supports it there may be a setting you can enable called "Multicast DNS" or "mDNS" which may help with Airplay / Chromecast connection.
Make sure you don't have any active VPN connections on your phone.
Make sure you are on the same WiFi network.
