Hi there! This seems to be the predictive back gesture developer option.
Google didn't surface this outside of developer options just yet because in order for it to apply, individual apps must implement it, and they largely have not.
Since you've now enabled it, it should work for apps which have implemented this, but that's unlikely to be many.
