[SOLVED] Graphene OS Android 14 Is missing customization options?

Hello! I am super glad to see that Android 14 has arrived on Graphene OS. I installed the update, but I can not see the lock screen customization options and always-on display customization options that others on stock OS have. Why can't graphene os have these? It would be weird that these things are Google based, and unfortunate :( Thanks, I would love to know.

Lockscreen shortcuts are coming in the next release, it's already been implemented.

It is unclear if we'll get the custom clocks, as at least part of them seem to be Google apps, not AOSP components.

In general, not every feature you find in the Stock OS is enabled by default in AOSP.

GrapheneOS' focus has been on porting all of its changes to Android 14 and making sure we have a stable release. This is important because Android 14 contains the latest patches, and porting and having users update to it ASAP is paramount. Now that we have an initial Android 14 release, final touches can start being addressed/added.

matchboxbananasynergy Ah, thanks so much for the reply!! Yeah, I was just reading now that features such as the custom lock screens will not be available, if not in the future perhaps. I am super exicted about Android 14 though, thanks again.

Really bummed about this. The custom clocks was the one and only feature of Android 14 that I was really excited about.

But, I get that there's more important things to work on. Fingers crossed, maybe we'll get it some day

low-key Curious about the present status of this.

Given how busy the developers have been for the past month with recovering from the A14 drop and adding MTE support, and also given the suggestion that a duress-password feature is probably being worked on, I suspect the status of lock-screen clocks may be roughly where it was a month ago as reported here by matchboxbananasynergy.

Maybe somebody will take it on as relaxation at the end of the year... or maybe it'll be "spring cleaning", or summer vacation... I don't think there's a way to predict.

If you were to use the Google clock app, would you have the custom clock ability? PR would that require more priveleges as far as access is concerned?

Curious about the present status of this. Does it seem like this is something that can be brought to GrapheneOS at some point or is it too tightly enmeshed with Google stuff to be feasible?

Some of the clock faces, such as the one featuring the weather, are clearly dependent on Google stuff but might it be possible to port the ones that aren't?

Maybe a similar subject, I noticed the Note-taking app can be enabled with developer options, can be selected as shortcut but doesn't show up on lock screen.
