Advice using new Pixel until official support

Hello,
I know that there is no timeline (normal as the team is focusing on Android 14 and Pixel 8 is not officially released).
I also know that the best course of action is to wait until the official support from GrapeheneOS is available for Pixel 8.

But a local retailer is making very good offers for used phones which ends in about two weeks (when purchasing a Pixel 8 / 8 Pro) and it needs that I send the older phone to them. Adding on top the pre-order bonus of the buds, it would be a really good price overall for the Pixel 8 to pass on.

The problem is that I might end up with the Pixel 8 with stock and sending over my older phone.
What would be the recommendation in this case to preserve my privacy and have a minimal setup until GrapheneOS is available?

Hey, how are you? I'm in a similar boat. I planned to use the 8P without logging into any Google account or downloading any apps from the PlayStore anyway. All while on a second sim that was purchased behind a pseudonym until I can install GOS.

Not sure if this does anything at all but I thought it was great place to start.

GhostLead Thank you. I already have an throw away Google account that I am using with Sandboxed Google Play Services.
I guess the phone will not be really useful until I flash GrapheneOS if I need to avoid installing Apps with Stock. It will be a hard couple of weeks... :)
