I'm considering migrating from Bitwarden to 1Password. I am on a Google Pixel 5. Autofill works correctly on all browsers with Bitwarden. However, 1Password doesn't seem to recognize any logins for any sites. I see the autofill suggestion to open 1Password but once I do, it doesn't show any recommended sites. I can manually search for a site and fill the creds in. If I select "Fill & Update Login", it adds the browser app as a linked app. Meaning that login will now be recommended for all sites in that browser, regardless of the domain. I've tested on Fennec, Brave, Vanadium, and Mulch.

It almost seems like 1Password can't tell I'm in a browser and thus doesn't try to match the domain names. I don't see many other people with this issue so I'm thinking it might be a GrapheneOS issue.

Is anyone else here using 1Password on Graphene with success?

I use it but I also use Gboard and login suggestions via Gboard strip works fine

f13a-6c3a I'm using Gboard as well. You didn't have to figure out any configuration issues? I get the autofill popup, but it just doesn't recommend any logins.

    a month later

I didn't manage to make it work with Gboard, the vanilla Keyboard or the Simple Keyboard. The Simple Keyboard provides some test fields if launched from the app launcher and there the 1Password chip appears.

I've no clue what else to try to make it work. I disabled and re-enabled it several times, no success.

    Anyone else who can help?

    /e: follow up question

Now it's getting weird: If I open a website I have an account for saved in 1P in Vanadium, I get the 1P chip shown and on tap it opens up. But it searches for suggestions for Vanadium, not the website I opened.
After that, trying it in Brave browser again, the 1P chip appears too, but nothing happens on tap. The chip appears exactly one time (iirc), than it's broken again (won't re-appear on text field selection change).

Sounds a bit like an OS bug to me: There doesn't seem to be the right info provided for that password data service.

    Can anyone confirm similar behavior?

Same issue 1Password with Vanadium and Brave, FF works!

Can confirm. FF works perfectly fine. Really strange. With Brave for example it works on stock Android.

This is intentional behaviour from 1password. They keep a list of allowed browsers. It's a very short list, and Vanadium is not in it. But Firefox and Brave are. They research each browser they add to that list, and test each 1password build compatibility with each of those browsers, so they only consider popular enough browsers worth their effort.

If, like me, you want 1password to allow Vanadium too, go to 1password's community and request it. I assume the more requests they get about it, the more they might consider adding it.

Is not only 1password, Proton Pass also has the same issuen NO Autofill works with Vanadium and Brave .
I think the only best working PM is Bitwarden .
I report to Proton team they release two more updates improving autofill but Vanadium and Brave
      stay with same issue .

This is not an issue and not something worth wasting your time on trying to fix: as
brightjob4495 mentioned, Vanadium is not supported by 1Password. I contacted customer support sooner time ago and they confirmed this. I suggest filing a ticket using their support form, requesting support for Vanadium. They will add your vote to the feature suggestion.
