Thank you for beating Google to it!

I am concerned for Pixel 4a 5G. It is supposed to receive Android 14, but initial releases of Android 14 are bound to have many bugs, just like any major OS version update/release. Yet, Google's support for Pixel 4a 5G will end next month, users of the device will end up stuck with early version of Android 14, and only receive the frozen version updates from GrapheneOS. I assume downgrading from Android 14 to Android 13 will be blocked.

I have the 6a and i guess another 4 years of support on it. How many newer android versions will be released for this phone with gos?

Will the os version be updated every year?

TL;DR is that due to how Android works, it is quite likely that 6th and 7th gen devices will receive 5 OS updates rather than stopping at 3 as the minimum they've committed to.
