ThatGuy54 Before I jump on the wagon I need to know if the Eufy app works on the OS. It may be the only app that I truly need to be reliable with notifications and just working properly in general. Thanks in advance.
[deleted] ThatGuy54 you should jump on the wagon even if it doesn't work. Since I have started using GrapheneOS, I am allergic to normie phones an that allergy gets worse with time. So I have to keep holding for dear life or a single fall might kill me.
matchboxbananasynergy ThatGuy54 Is this the app? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oceanwing.battery.cam If so, I was able to launch the app just fine and was met with a login screen. I don't see a reason why this shouldn't work, especially with sandboxed google play.
ThatGuy54 Skyway Thank you. I'm in a position where I need cameras and motion alerts for security. Eufy was the least evil of the options I was able to find. matchboxbananasynergy Yes. Thank you.
matchboxbananasynergy I'll mark this as solved for now; if you encounter any issues with the app, feel free to let us know.
ThatGuy54 matchboxbananasynergy Thank you. GrouchyGrape I have not. But I will look into it, thank you very much.
GrouchyGrape Have you considered a more diy solution using Ubiquiti's unifi line of products and/or home assistant? If you're willing and able to put in the effort, can be a great solution
Conjure6589 I have the Eufy app and it works just fine. If you don't install GPS you just won't get push notifications. If you do install them, everything works as it should.
gertc The Eufy app runs fine on my pixel7 with grapheneos. But it seems geofencing doesn't work. Even though Eufy has the permission for location services (always, exact location), eufy says it can't start geofence. Sone other permission missing?
undwersq Just reviving this thread. Will the Eufy app work without Google services but with Homebase 3? Thanks.
