Messaging App : Notification content is not display on second user profile

Hello everyone, I am having trouble with the notifications my second user profile. I am using this second user for certain specific apps which use 2FA. I am receiving the SMS notifications when I am logging in to my apps but the problem I am facing is that the content of the text notifications never show up; the only thing displayed is "New Message". I need to leave the app, go in the messaging app in order to get my code to login.

I keep having the same issue no matter the setup I am using. Here are a few examples of the setups I already tried

I will be referring to My main user profile as P1 and my second user profile (the problematic one) as P2 and the default "Messaging" app that comes with the OS as the GrapheneOS app and Google's "Messages" app on the play store as the Google app.

GrapheneOS app as my default SMS app on P1 and P2
Google app as my default SMS app on P1 and GrapheneOS app my default SMS app on P2
Google app as my SMS app on P1 and P2
GrapheneOS app at my default SMS on P1 and the Google app on P2.

I attached a few photos of my app settings I use and the notifications only displaying "New Message" and not the text content. The notifications I am receiving are not coming my main profile I know that for those notifications only the User's name, the app's and the time received will be shown. I enabled "Turn on phone calls & SMS" for my second profile so the SMS are shared between both profiles so it should show the full content.

I have wondered about this too.

There doesn't seem to be a way to cause the default sms notification to display the sms' sender or contents.

The issue is not the same, I am not talking about notification of my main user profile not showing in my second user. I am talking about the notifications that are directly sent to my second user. As I said at the end of my post, I know that by design, the notifications from the main profile only partially show up in the second profile and require you to switch profile if you want to access them; those notifications can be directly accessed in the second profile so they are NOT notifications sent to the main profile.

I have the setting you are referring to enabled and I am getting both notifications as the SMS is sent to both profiles.

I've had the exact same issue: I believe it's an artifact of the user profiles. I tried installing QKSMS and simple sms on my primary user profile and I didn't get notifications for either of them. I only get notifications for sms with the default messanging app, and I don't get the name of who sent it or the content of message in the notification. In the owner profile, it looks like the default messanging app displays that information in the notifications properly, and maybe it would make 3rd party sms apps work too. I'm going to do some further testing but it looks like the solution might be to migrate to the owner profile as your primary profile if you want to use sms messages properly, which would kind of suck for considering how heavily I've already customized this user profile.

This sucks quite a bit indeed. Since I set my whole phone up on a user profile I cannot even see text message content on my Garmin watch. Guess I will delete the user profile and restart on main. Big bummer.

I have the same problem. Notifications of the default SMS messaging app do not show contents of messages on my secondary profile. It just says "New message" and to see the content of a message I need to open the messaging app.
