GrapheneOS spoof location

Hey, is there any way to spoof the location using GrapheneOS? I currently use AppCloner for that, but avoiding that part would be great.

curdoc Not natively, but I believe the team is working on it. I'm currently using Mock my GPS to solve this. Yes, I know that apps can tell that you're using a mocked location, but the app that I need it for doesn't seem to check/care that my location is mocked so it works for me. YMMV

I don’t think that sort of thing is the point of GrapheneOS.

If you use IVPN there is an option for that. Next to Mullvad (and to some extent Proton VPN) it's a solid VPN choice for privacy (if you know what a VPN can and cannot do for you). I do use IVPN and Mullvad but I didn't ever try location spoofing, so I can't report how reliable it really is.

N1b VPNs can only spoof the IP Address. I think the Original Poster (OP) is not trying to spoof their IP address, but the network-based location and/or Global Positioning System (GPS)-based location.

[deleted] every VPN does spoof IP addresses, yes. That's not what I mean here, the "mock location" feature is a specific setting in IVPN (and maybe some others, but definitely not Mullvad) and it tries to spoof your GPS location. They implemented this feature in 2021 and say themselves it's not perfect.
