Banking app + Google Play Store

Hi everyone!

I switched from iOS to GrapheneOS a week or so ago and I am really impressed.
The only catch for me right now is that one of my banking apps (a kind of a OTP app that you use to approve transactions) won't work, it says it needs to be installed from the Play Store rather than Aurora, somehow it knows.

I assumed that means that i need to create a fake gmail account and install the app via the Play Store? Or is there some workaround?

There is no 'fake' Google account. If you want upmost privacy, You can create an Google account with false information specifically for Google Play Store, though a phone number is required in most countries to create one.

Se ha detectado que Santander PASS no se instaló desde la tienda oficial de aplicaciones. Por favor, borra esta versión de Santander PASS y vuélvela a descargar desde Play Store

Translation:
Security error.
It has been detected that Santander PASS was not installed from the official app shop. Please delete this version of Santander PASS and download it again from the Play Store.
