How do i create a play store account without using my phone number?

play store wants my phone number when creating an account. What are my options if i dont want to use my own phone number to create an account?

Try switching connection. Go do it from a coffee shop without a VPN, although I personally I had luck doing in on a VPN connection. From a browser it always seems to pester you for a phone number, from Play Store app itself not as much.

While I've only just made an account so I'm not sure what others do or if my solution is great, I got (free) burner SIM cards to create accounts for services such as Google. What providers give away free SIM cards of course depends on where you live, so if I were you I would look into that.

I use 5sim[dot]net to get temporary phone numbers for SMS verification. It's very cheap and can be paid in crypto. Their system is confusing at first but it works well.

There probably are other services like this one if you search around.

Btw It's not Play store account, but an Google account.

I created a few accounts by going to a shop or shopping center with public wifi.
Sometimes a phone number is requested for verification, sometimes it can be skipped.

I wouldn't recommend having a Google account at all if you want to stay anonymous. Just use Aurora Store with LinkSheet and the web Play Store to install apps (open web version -> share -> linksheet -> open in aurora). The only reason you could ever need Play Store is for paid apps, but at that point you'd need a credit card so no point in using an anonymous phone number.

This question has been bugging me for weeks. I only need Google account to be able do download the Banking app. I don't think Aurora can provide that, can they? Burner sim seems the only remaining option at this stage. I wonder how it's going to work with the future updates, that is of course I miraculously manage to download the disired app... and what if they (google) will ask me periodically to verify my account... I can't imagine to be topping up my extra sim solely for that reason... I also set up an additional account to be linked with google for verification but that all may be in vain. All this Google world is a serious pain, it's getting really hard to function in a society without multiple phones, accounts and so on... But we are at war with them, so I am not giving up.
Any suggestions at all will be welcome! Ah, when I tried to add the G. account both from the phone (pixel 5a) and the browser (Vanadium), in the 'phone field' there was no option to add other alternatives for identity verificatuon as I had read in some website articles.
