Why not just use Aurora with a Google Account?

There have been a lot of people complaining about Aurora accounts being rate limited. So why not use your own throw away account?

Might Google ban/rate limit it?
Or are people worried about Google tying the apps they downloaded to their account?

BurningTipi You can sign into a throwaway Google account on Aurora Store, although it is against Google's terms of service, so your account will probably get permanently suspended at some point.

BurningTipi I could not get past the rate limiting problem on Aurora, so I dug up an old throwaway Google account I made years ago and only use it for this purpose. It would be great if there was a way to tie Play store URLs to Aurora.

There is. In the app info for Aurora Store, tap 'Open by default', enable, and check the relevant checkboxes.

If you have Google Play Store installed, you might need to disable the open by default toggle for that app first.
