• GeneralPixel 6a
  • Apple USB-C to Jack not working on UK/CA version but working on US

Dear all,

I happen to own 2 versions of the Google Pixel 6a:

  • UK/CA (G1AZG), UFS from Micron*
  • US bought at US Google Store, UFS from SKHynix*

*according to the Fastboot

Apple USB-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter is working perfectly in combination with different headphones on the stock rom on both devices.

The same setup only works on GrapeheneOS with the US version but not with the UK/CA version. On the latter the device plays audio as if no adapter + headphones were connected.

I wonder whether anyone encountered similar issue with the UK/CA version (G1AZG). Is there a way I can try to solve this?

I've just found out the Google USB C headphones don't work on my Google Pixel 6a (UK/CA version, G1AZG) either.

    Odd. Can others here reproduce?

If you have results for two headsets times two phones, that sounds like enough data to file an issue on GitHub.

Got this problem too. Happen to have three different usb-c to 3,5mm adapters and a bunch of headsets. Nothing works. Used to work tho.

Edit: I'm on the Pixel 6

Just to confirn... Is it a G1AZG? Settings, About phone, Model (tap on the displayed model).

      Says GB7N6. Not a 6a, just a regular 6.

I've discovered it stopped working on the US version of Pixel 6a as well now.

Hi. Just stumbled upon this, too.

It works on my side when the newer exploit protection for the USB-C port is less restrictive (see "Settings -> Security and Privacy -> Exploit protection"). I've had it set to "Charing-only". It works with "Charging-only when locked".

      Pixel 6a (model: G1AZG, EU-version, I think), GrapheneOS 15 (bluejay-15.1, build-number: 2025021100).
