Storage Scopes

I need Instagram and Facebook+FB Messenger for business. I have one photo folder those apps can see via storage scopes.

I went to post something this morning and all the photos from all photo sources on this profile are showing in those apps, not just the ones in the storage scopes location.

I have Graphene specifically to hide all my photos from these apps.

What's going on?

The apps are most probabaly using PhotoPicker, They don't have access to the media themselves.

Every app even with storage scopes can still access files in shared storage. So you have two options. If possible, change the location where the media gets saved, not within shared storage. If not possible, create a special folder not within shared storage, that should become inaccessible to the rest of the apps. Only one thing I don't have answer for: is there any way I can regulate what file picker can access?

That's misleading, I think you meant something else.

The user only has access to the Shared Storage. (And to /data/local/tmp via ADB)

I think you should read the FAQ you quoted again properly.

”Additionally, both modern and legacy Android apps can open the system file picker interface to have the user store or load one or more files/directories on their behalf. This type of access doesn't require any of the permissions listed above."

Perhaps I am understanding it all wrong, you're welcome to correct me.
