When choosing LTE is 5G enabled?

Hello,
At simcard settings there are different options for preferred network type such as: 2G, 3G, LTE, 5G, LTE only.
I chose LTE, is 5G disabled? I couldnt find the info in the website. Also if 5G is disabled, does LTE mean that I have 3G and 4G since I do not allow 2G from another toggle in sim settings?

[deleted] I think in this case 5G wouldn't be disabled but rather, given both 4g and 5g networks being available it would try to connect to the 4g one instead of the 5g.

[deleted] I know about this but I dont have reliable connection from my carrier. Sometimes I need 3G. So I dont have the luxury to use LTE only mode. 3G and 4G are fine by me as long as I dont use 5G.

I dont see how 5G can be available and not 4G. I thought legacy models had better reach.

[deleted] Isn't your post in reference to lte only mode? I think they only selected lte, not lte only. So 3g and 5g should still be usable in this case.

[deleted] where I live (very rural), T-Mobile's low frequency 5G bands have measurably better reach and speeds compared to LTE
