tom_majorTom Hi, I just bought a Pixel 6 just so I can use GrapheneOS, I love the idea of a stable and secure OS that is well maintained. That said, I currently have a Nothing Phone 1, is it possible to use this phone to install GOS on my new GP6 ? Thanks !
de0u tom_majorTom I currently have a Nothing Phone 1, is it possible to use this phone to install GOS on my new GP6 ? Maybe? See: https://grapheneos.org/install/web#prerequisites How much RAM does it have? My estimate would be a 50% likelihood of success if all directions are carefully followed.
[deleted] https://grapheneos.org/install/web#prerequisites Officially supported operating systems for the web install method includes Google Android (stock Pixel OS) and other certified Android variants.
de0u [deleted] Thanks. To my surprise, I was unable to install a 6a from a 3a running GrapheneOS (Vanadium, etc.). I now suspect the issue may have been RAM being tight.
[deleted] de0u Maybe. Read the installation guide. You're going to run into issues if you don't meet the prerequisites.
tom_majorTom My NP has 8GB of ram. I'll try to use it as soon as my pixel arrives. If it doesn't work, I'll try on my fedora desktop Thanks for the answers !
