Anyone is using Magic Earth maps app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.generalmagic.magicearth) with GOS?
Is working fine with GOS?
Also, do you know if really is so privacy friendly that explained?

[deleted] it is working great. Just you need to enable cellular network to use GPS location properly, I have pixel 7.

[deleted] I'm using it for navigation as it works better compared to Organic Maps. It is generally appreciated here (from what I see). Being Closed Source, you'll have to trust their privacy policy but they don't ask you to create an account and they have no external trackers according to exodus.

Even if I create a app and send everything you do in my app to google.com or any other domain Google prefers, It would bypass Exodus' Tracker detection If I do not use any Tracking SDK by Google and send your data directly. Exodus' approach is inherently flawed and Exodus does not even know about every single Tracking SDK on planet, so Tracking SDKs by Small companies could bypass Exodus' Trackers detection.

I also use it and I am very happy with it. It's true, you have to trust them. It is hard to tell what data the app transmits since the traffic is encrypted. I chose to trust them because my threat model is not very high and there are many conveniences that come with the app. I also used Organic Maps in the past but I like MagicEarth better.

Any advantage from Magic Earth from Petal Maps? Petal also says "no data shared or collected" in Play Store description (https://play.google.com/store/apps/datasafety?id=com.huawei.maps.app)
