Hello, team, first I want to thank you for the good work you do to the community, with people like you we can have a little more security and privacy online. My question is the following, is there a free code application compatible with grafheneOS to remove metadata from images, videos, files, etc. any alternative thanks

Tvgoog GrapheneOS doesn't recommend third-party apps, it's up to you to decide which apps best meet your needs.

I can suggest trying https://github.com/Tommy-Geenexus/exif-eraser. It's available from GitHub, Google Play Store and Accrescent.

Tvgoog I've been using Scrambled Exif for a long time and have zero complaints. Sure, it hasn't received an update since last November but, as the saying goes, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Tvgoog GOS has meta data removal of images you take (correct me if I'm wrong), or are you trying to remove it from externally taken photos?

It's something managed by the Camera app, and not the OS itself.

The GrapheneOS Camera app does not save metadata by default, but saving metadata can be optionally enabled.

For other Camera apps, it depends on the app whether it saves metadata.

Just a point of clarification. It's something managed by the Camera app, and not the OS itself.

The GrapheneOS Camera app does not save metadata by default, but saving metadata can be optionally enabled. That applies both on GrapheneOS and on stock Android.

For other Camera apps, it depends on the app whether it saves metadata.
