Sign in by email not working on apps

So I have tried to sign in to reddit, ebay and some other apps. These have the option of sign in using facebook, apple, google, and of course email. However, when i click log in by email, the app(s) crash.

Am I missing something? I have google play services installed, and even if I try uninstalling google play it still crashes.

Do i need to grant the apps the non hardened maloc privilege? I cant see an option for this.

Have you installed Google Play Services, Google Play Store and Google Services Framework, and have you given each one the network permission?

I already have this version installed. Just jncase I wasn't clear, I'm experiencing this issue through installed apps such as eBay and reddit, not on web browsers.

Each of these apps has been granted unrestricted battery use, the network and sensor permissions and has access to google play services, store and related GMS compatibility layers.

The fault is that the apps run normally, allows you to make an account, sign in with apple ID etc no problem, but when it comes to email sign in I get the "X app keeps crashing" error.

Note that this doesn't occur with amazon and other apps, which are In the same user profile with the same allowed permissions and services.

The apps this happens In do have one thing I common; they all seem to have the options of email/username sign in, apple sign in, google sign in or Facebook sign in. I just can't seem to log In using email.

Backwards876 There was a recent regression with the WebView which broke some apps which use it. The WebView is updated alongside Vanadium.

The most recent release of Vanadium rolls back the regression in the WebView. Please make sure you have updated to version 116.0.5845.163.1 of Vanadium, and then try your apps again.

treequell This behavior persists despite the update. As I stated this only happens with certain apps in certain circumstances (email signup).

As @Talcum0094 has highlighted this is not an isolated issue. Is there a possible cause for this?

Talcum0094 Updating the Vanadium app might fix this issue, So please update the Vanadium app.

I have updated Vanadium; however, it has not changed the problematic behavior.

Backwards876 I am not sure the cause of this, and am not able to test that it this minute.

One possibility is that those apps have a memory corruption bug. If that's the case, this can be worked around by enabling exploit protection compatibility mode toggle. You should find it in app info of each app that is crashing.

Let me know how you get on with that.

That did not solve the issue with FordPass. I'm curious if anyone's able to replicate my issue? I presume it is easily reproduced.

treequell I have been able to mitigate the issue by reinstalling the apps and reinstalling GSF. It turns out One of apps was installed via a 3rd party sandbox too (insular), using the system installer, compatibility mode and GSF reinstall seems to have fixed the issue.
