Nanoleaf app and Play Store

I started having an issue where when I open the Nanoleaf app, it auto-launches the Play store. The Play store keeps notifying me I need to update the Play store. I have tried updating it, also uninstalling and installing again from Graphene Apps, and it doesn't seem to work. This app used to work, and am wondering if there is a version issue with the Play store or Google services, or just an issue with the Nanoleaf app. Anyone have anything similar happen with any other apps?

brawfx I am not able to reproduce this. When I open Nanoleaf, it opens the Sign-in screen fine.

Which versions of Nanoleaf and Google Play Store do you have installed?

I had disabled the Play Store Network permissions because I was tired of the notification "Play Store needs to update Play Store". But having network permissions enabled doesn't alter the behavior.

I have tried deleting cache and storage for the Nanoleaf app. The Nanoleaf app was installed via Aurora Store. For permissions on the Nanoleaf app, only networking is allowed, but enabling Nearby devices and Sensors doesn't seem to alter the behavior.

treequell I think I figured it out. I never sign into the Play Store, but decided to try it, and after logging in, the Nanoleaf app is working again. If I sign out of the Play Store, it reverts to the previous behavior. So It appears the app is requires you to be logged into the Play Store, or at least it does for me.
