transferring photos from old phone to grapheneos

Hi all, Im trying to upload my old pictures from the icloud to graphene using my mac book and am finding it difficult.
I initially used a USB to manually transfer everything over but all my pictures are now in the wrong order etc
Is there another way i can transfer my icloud pictures over without the dates getting messed up? if so could you please explain to me how to achieve this?

Hey, I have a solution for you!

Had the same problem last time i transferred and several family members had the same issue.

Install the app "Image & Video Date Fixer" by JD Android Apps. This app fixes everything for you 🙂
If you have a phone that stores the date in the filename (and in EXIF), you are good to go. If your phone however store the files in a increasing number (e.g. P1034 ... P1035 etc.), I would recommend using this app before the transfer and running it again after the transfer.

This app is incredible and it is free! But please consider donating upon download, since it saves/restores all you galleryfiles, which is a big deal. It recieves new updates on a weekly basis.

Also check out his other app "Rename & Organize with EXIF". I use it all the time to remove EXIF data from files I send to others. But it can do so much more.

Panda-na Panda-na Thanks so much for this advice! I've already got the photos on my new phone.. does this mean i have to delete them and re-upload with the image and video date fixer? :)

Freckles222 No you just restore from your mac to your Pixel, Install Image & Video Date fixer, click the + Icon and then select Select ALL Images & Videos

[deleted] sadly its not working for me, i belive when downloading from the icloud it has compressed the picture files and changed the names.
i've tried to download into the pixel but it does not show up on my macbook when i plug it in... :(

There are some setings in the app you can adjust to fix this, I believe. But I don't have experience with iCloud files.

Regarding the phone not showing up, search the forum. Someone has guaranteed asked about that before. But when you plug the phone in, drag down the notificationbar (on the phone), there is a notification bubble that says that is charging. Click it and change to Transfer files. Should fix this for you.

Panda-na i just tried changing it to transfer files, and its still not showing up on mu macbook sadly. I've tried 3 different cables and nothing is seeming to be working. I will have a search of the forum. Thank you :)
