Need to enter PIN on every unlock attempt after fingerprint

Hello all, I am using the latest version of graphene os on my 6a and generally update immediately ater updates get available. For a few weeks now, it has been happening to me that every time I want to unlock my phone, I have to enter my PIN code after the fingerprint. Regularly, I only use a fingerprint for unlocking - this has not been changed (or I don't remember how I managed to change settings in this regard). When I restart the phone, the first unlock attempt is exactly the same as fingerprint+PIN (as it should be) and then only a few unlocks can be done with fingerprint only. Then it happens again. Is it possible to trigger this behavior by unintentionally changing settings, or did I miss a known bug or something else?

I'm having a similar issue on my 7, but with me its completely inconsistent. Sometimes it asks for pin, other times for fingerprint.

Funnily enough, every time I so much as enter the settings page for security options, if I then lock the phone, it "remembers" that it can ask for fingerprint and then asks for it every time. For maybe 20 minutes and then forgets about the fingerprint again entirely.

I don't know if I remember this correct, but in case of switching users isn't it designated to enter fingerprint+PIN for login? Nevertheless, in my case only one user was affected (not owner).

I'm not sure, but as I mentioned above it doesn't happen anymore since the last update. Weird...

6A here, and same, I have no idea why. My 5A didn't do this either, so its very confusing

That is the biggest pain I have as well on the 7 Pro. It's a complete mess and potential security issue, cos I have to type in the PIN code so often, especially in areas where there's a lot of video surveillance.
At first I thought it's a problem of the sensor, and sometimes it works by pressing extra hard on the screen. But then I realized, it's not the sensor, cos whenever I have to use the fingerprint sensor to unlock an app, or for e-banking, the fingerprint is always immediately recognized.
So it's either an Android problem, or a Graphene OS issue. I can sort of understand that I have to enter the password/PIN every few days, or every 50th unlock or something, but I need to enter the PIN more like 80% of the times I want to unlock my phone. I really feel like I want to ditch this shit device because of that.

Grkrz I don't know, maybe you just grew a set of shit fingers because unlocking with fingerprint has been pretty consistent for me in the past. Just saying.
