Contacts' Birthdays won't appear on Google Calendar in GOS

Hey everyone.

So I've installed Google Calendar and my contacts' birthdays don't appear in the Calendar.

These are my apps permissions:

Google Play Services - Network, Phone, SMS, Sensors

Google Contacts - Contacts, Notifications, Phone, Sensors

Google Calendar - Calendar, Contacts, Notifications, Sensors

I tried many things and birthdays still won't appear even if I turn on network for both Google Contacts and Calendar and add Contacts permission in Google Play Services.

What I've also noticed is that if I go to Google Contacts settings, I can't really choose default account for new contacts (meaning, the device locally or google account), at just shows "no default set" whatever I choose.

Does anyone have the solution?

q654q Google's birthday calendar has always been a hellhole. It looks to me like it's ONLY built for autopopulating the calendar by Google's own apps, where they read it from the birthday fields in the contact apps and auto push them to Calendar.

Any attempt from my side to try add any manually have just been ignored. I had to make my own calendar to be able to add and change myself. Couldn't even disable or hide Google's version, so for those contacts that had birthdays it now showed 2 birthday events for that person.

Just another example of something called "smart" is dumb AF.
