Any transparency on which new features being worked on?

Title says it all.

I am curious and wonder if we somehow can follow which new features are being worked on and if they have any status% reached or milestones.

In forum we read often about for example seedvault to be replaced.
Other similar topics are that app X is default AOSP and will be replaced in future.

But how can we know what is being already worked on and what has not even started development for example, or if it has, then how far away is it for alpha/beta?

I think this is a reasonable request.

Preface: for software I pay for I feel entitled to publicly comment and criticize priorities and development. e.g. Proton and their unprofessional development hygiene, while marketing and selling a product...

I do donate monthly to GOS -as gratitude for years of consistently reliable software that enhances my life. But, a donation is different than purchasing.

GOS has chosen "source available" and after years of smart choices and impeccable development I trust these choices.

Having said all that it would be appreciated if the community manager could post a e.g. monthly? "state of the project" for the end user community and inform expectations.

I don't know how we can be more transparent, but you could analyze all this and give us a little summary every week, since the devs have a bit more to do, I imagine.

Both are a given and are going to, of course, be of the utmost importance to the developers.

I would vastly appreciate a reliable backup system. I get that it's a genuinely hard problem that would require a large concentrated investment of developer time. But I hope there is a plan for those resources to be allocated. It would also be useful to know if the developers believe it will probably not be possible to work on this in the next year.

It is possible to consider availability as a security issue, and a reliable backup system would improve the availability of user data across hardware failure, or hardware theft. It could also make secure and private border crossings more practical.

I hope they will find a couple more devs to support them on bigger projects. I also understand they hesitate bringing in more since there are so many horror stories when scaling up teams. Hopefully the bag that Jack built will give some breathing room when it's unlocked.
