DNS server keeps disconnecting

I'm using the adguard DNS and every time I unlock my phone the notification that it disconnected pops up

E24 Are you using a VPN? If so that might be the issue if it's not configured right.

I am also using AdGuard in my home network, without any issues. Did you specify the DNS server in the WiFi settings?
Do all the up-stream servers work?

I'm not familiar with the Proton VPN app, but if there is a way of defining a custom DNS in the app then do so. Then make sure that the custom DNS is set to automatic in the Phone settings (not the Proton App settings).

I was having similar issues with the Adguard VPN app and this is what fixed it for me.

I don't see an option for that in the app, but that may be because I don't have the premium version or something

You probably should disable Netshield in the proton VPN app to avoid conflicts with your other DNS setup
