Im trying to install telegram. I accept all the permissions but when it comes time for them to send the code it says "we have sent the code for .......... on your other device" I dont recieve the code and i cant get the call...
How do I fix this issue?

If you are already logged in somewhere else, check the code on your other device.
If you're trying to sign up for their service via their APK, you will see what you see now (I don't know if it's bug or intended behavior). Install it from the Play Store, from there you can request SMS to your phone number (both to sign in or sign up). Once you're running Play version you can use it to sign in into their website APK version.
Sorry im not sure. I went to the Telegram wesbite and downloaded the android version. DIdnt go through google play

ahh i see... Its a brand new device and sim. The chip works to set it up in my other phone regular android though

it does not give me the option to install it on this phone from google play. its only listing my other phone connected to my gmail account
Zigster I don't understand what you're saying. The bottom line is that you need to sign up for Telegram from the Play store version of Telegram. You can use some other regular Android you got lying around, you can ask a friend or you can install Play on GrapheneOS.
It's not a GrapheneOS issue, it's Telegram shenanigans.
