Lightroom on GrapheneOS ?

Does Adobe Lightroom work fine GrapheneOS?
I'd like to de-Google and move away from iOS. However, I need to use this specific software, Lightroom for photography. I'm thinking to get a Pixel 7a with GrapheneOS but it will all be a waste of time and money if I cannot use Adobe Lightroom. Adobe Lightroom free version can be downloaded from the Google Play store.. so my thinking it should be fine. But has anyone tried it? Cannot find any information about this online.

I have confirmed that Lightroom works fine on GrapheneOS, but you need to finesse it because Adobe's trying to make it hard:

Install Sandboxed Google Play
Must login to Play Store with a Google account
Install Lightroom via Aurora Store because the listing on the play store artificially restricts installation to Google-certified OSes.
The app should work.

Unlike @matchboxbananasynergy Lightroom (9.1.1) will not launch on my Pixel 7 with GrapheneOS:

When starting the app which has been installed via the Aurora Store, I get the following error message:
"Get this app from Play - The app installed on your device is not recognized and could harm your device."

It actually briefly (0.2 seconds) shows the Lightroom launch-screen before force-forwarding to the Google Play error message.

On Google Play it states: "Looking for Lightroom? This app won't work for your device". When opening Lightroom in Google Play via a browser link it states: "This app isn't compatible with your device anymore."

Lightroom can only be installed from the Aurora Store
Sandboxed Google Play has been installed on the main account
Tried starting the app with and without "Exploit protection compatibility mode"

Is there any other workaround available to successfully launch Lightroom on GrapheneOS?

ChrisW I tried and got the same result, not from Playstore, can't use it. From Aurora, Playstore installed and logged in, Exploit protection compatibility mode enabled or disabled, same result.

@ChrisW @alex_herrero I personally tested Lightroom a while back, then a community member actually paid and it was working for them. It was all working fine then. I just checked and I get the same message as you. This must be something that was changed very recently. I'll ask around about this, but I'm worried there's not much that can be done about it.

Lightroom doesn't work for me but Photoshop express works just fine.

I am using Lightroom Mobile (paid version) and it is working fine.

Arnauld maybe it's something new they started doing now. I've got a paid account and I can't get it to open, I'm getting the same "Get this app from Play - The app installed on your device is not recognized and could harm your device." message.

Would reinstalling an older version work (in Aurora Store, select "manual download" from the 3 dot menu and enter the version code)? It might just work as it used to, if the app doesn't force you to update...

That's of course no sustainable solution, but maybe for bridging the time until a better answer is found.

Indeed, installing an older version is good to test.

Your last resort is to install it on another older phone that is stock os and you keep at home. 🤷‍♂️
