Transfer Apps?

I've got a 5a which is working great but the charging port is bad, but it's still under a 1 year refurb warranty. I've got the company to agree so I'm sending it back but I need a phone in the meantime, plus I don't want to leave a bunch of personal info on the phone I'm sending in for repair.

Any suggestions on transferring the apps over? I can use SMS Backup and Restore for the calls and messages and export data from the apps that I care about, but going through the store manually and searching and installing apps is what I want to avoid if possible.

You can always try Seedvault which does backup and restore your apps (not always your app data but it will inform you about this). Make sure to do a test restore in a new user profile since Seedvault restores do fail on occasion.

It would help to know what appstore(s) you use. Google Play Store does have an app sync feature, I haven't tested this on GOS though. Neo Store lets you backup a list of all your apps marked favorite and Obtainium can also do a backup of your app list and settings.

N1b Thanks. I do use the Play store so I may try the app sync feature and report back since I'm not in a big time crunch. Great idea, and thanks, I wasn't aware that Google had anything beyond the initial setup in their version of Android.

Play Store sync/share hasn't worked that great for me but I use Lawnchair as my launcher and it restored with a greyed out blank for all my apps on the home screen, so I just tapped on them and it went and installed them for me, so that was relatively painless. Beyond that I just copied photos, mp3s, and files from one to the other.
