My work mobile phone with Android 12 has recently started vibrating when I pick it up and a new message has been received. Is this already available in GOS? And if so, how can I activate it?
Short vibration if received a new message
dirksche You can enable vibration for new messages, yes. The easiest way is to press either volume button, and then tap the 'bell' symbol that appears. The top icon that appears of the three will switch to vibration mode.
Vibration settings for notifications can be customized in Settings > Sound & vibration> Vibration & haptics. You can also enable and disable vibration for each notification channel of each and every app, in the notification settings of each app, or by long pressing the notification in your notification shade, and tapping the gear icon there.
treequell Thanks for your answer. But it's not about vibrating, when a message comes in. The feature that I be looking for is: my mobile is on the table. A message comes in. 10 minutes later I pick up the mobile from the table and in this moment it vibrates (because the device detect the movement) to inform me that I have new messages.
