Titan_M2 Since you are logging in, why don’t you just use the Play Store?
There are use cases for this, e.g. if you don't want Play Services, but wish to install an app that you paid for on a dummy Google account with gift cards.
Myprivacy1 Has anyone else found this and have any suggestions to get round this?
Since it's a dummy account, you should always set up 2FA first (TOTP or FIDO U2F if possible), otherwise you are at risk of triggering a verification process upon login just like the one you described. Set up 2FA in whatever browser is letting you log in without extra steps (maybe the one you created the Google Account with works). My experience is that once you have 2FA set up, Google will just ask for the 2FA code, not complain any further and not send you through their own process.
So after setting up 2FA, you can try logging in to Aurora again. If you want to be sure, you can first reset Aurora by deleting storage in the Aurora App info screen. I hope this will help you get where you want.
