GOS stock keyboard

Hi,

I have seen some of the discussions about keyboards around here. Recently, I got a Pixel 6a and switched from LOS to GOS. I find the stock keybaord under GOS less usable than the one under LOS and was wondering if there were some settings or configs I overlooked. Am I right in thinking that there are none and the GOS keyboard just doesn’t offer the same as the LOS keyboard, e.g. semicolon by holding B or hyphen by holding H? Another great LOS feature are the optional cursor arrows left/right.

Not critising, just asking. I already have installed FlorisBoard and OpenBoard along stock. It’s just that none of the three is perfect and I find myself constantly switching between them, which isn’t all too convenient in itself.

i believe the stock is just AOSP stock, so you'd have to ask them.

If you wanted to try something else then openbkard would be my recommendation. But yes its the AOSP keyboard I beleive and not something unique to Graphene

Isn’t the LOS stock just AOSP stock, too?

heliumvoice As far as I understand, most of the default apps provided by LineageOS, including their keyboard app, are developed independently of AOSP.
