Is there a way now to get this working in graphene os? Haven't used it in a couple years

treequell and it supports full functionality? I'll be able to say hey Google and ask a question or do voice typing?

No, it does note support" full functionality". The only limitation I know is the "Hey Google" phrase but you can use the assistant anyway.

I believe the voice assistant can't be activated by voice with Hey Google but once you activate it works fine. Haven't tested Hey Google myself.

Note that voice typing isn't part of Google Assistant. You can get voice typing either by installing GBoard or by installing Google Speech Services. Installing just one of the two is sufficient.

Most Google features, even Pixel specific ones, work on GrapheneOS, as long as the functionality is provided through a Google app, and not the stock Pixel OS itself.

[deleted] Ah yes, that works. I haven't used Google Assistant myself so I'm happy to defer to anybody who has. In any case, as long as you can figure out which apps you need to install, it should work fine!

Will hey google ever work on Graphene?

To me this is game changer I find this a necessity when driving allowing voice control for Spotify(skip track, open a library) , call handling (reject, answer , quick message), open nav app to get directions.

I don't have a Android auto enabled head unit.
This omission is a serious safety feature.
