jkbfdsakjbfk8998422 I've been watching graphene os videos and going over the graphene site so as to get a better idea of how everything works. In a recent graphene video, he opened apps, selected all apps. then show system. I noticed he didn't have the same apps I have. I have quite a few more that he didn't have listed. I've only installed 6 apps so I should be close to the stock apps. I tried googling but didn't see a link. Is there a page with a list of all installed apps on graphene os?
jkbfdsakjbfk8998422 treequell Let me see if I can find it. I didn't save it. If anything, it made me curious if a list is available online with all the preinstalled apps. Is there something available online?
jkbfdsakjbfk8998422 [deleted] That or an error on my part. I'm thinking he didn't actually open system apps. Including system apps, I have 156 installed. I have installed 5 or 6 myself, so I'm guessing graphene comes with close to 150 apps installed.
N1b Could any new system apps have been added during recent updates, and therefore the video was just outdated?
jkbfdsakjbfk8998422 N1b That's very possible. I can't seem to find the video. I'm thinking he didn't actually click system apps. It was only a couple seconds in the video. Including system apps, I have 156 apps installed.
Room101 jkbfdsakjbfk8998422 You have done something wrong. Mine has less than 30 with all my own apps installed
[deleted] Room101 No, he hasn't. He's including the system apps in that total. Go to Settings -> Apps -> All Apps. Click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner and then on "Show system."
treequell @jkbfdsakjbfk8998422 That sounds perfectly normal. If you'd like extra piece of mind, you could verify your OS with the Auditor app.
dregrinfuces Looking at the list of apps that shows up when I swipe up from the bottom of the screen, I see the following 13 system apps (they have black and white icons): Apps Auditor Calculator Camera Clock Contacts Files Gallery Messages PDF Viewer Phone Settings Vanadium
de0u dregrinfuces Looking at the list of apps that shows up when I swipe up from the bottom of the screen, I see the following 13 system apps [...] Settings, Apps, "> See all ...", triple-dot menu at upper right, "Show system"
[deleted] dregrinfuces Yeah. Those come with the OS but there are also system apps which can be found using the steps that I provided in my previous message. You'll also see the full app count on your device's screen whenever a new OS update is installing.
Blastoidea When I swipe up, I see Apps, Briar, Calculator, Camera, Clock, Contacts, F-Droid, Files, Gallery, Messaging, Phone, Proton VPN, Proton Mail, Session, Settings, Signal, Vanadium. I can’t imagine 150.
dgzeij Blastoidea Usable apps vs system services (that are still called apps @ Android). It's the same on all OS'es.
jkbfdsakjbfk8998422 Blastoidea Go to settings, apps, all apps, expand the 3 dots in the top right, and click show system. That's where I'm getting the 150 number.
