Changing the flavour of an app

Very simple question : I have installed the Google Play version of app Element. I would like to switch to the F-Droid flavour. I am not allowed to do so since I suppose there is a control of the signature of the newly downloaded apk. Is there a way to bypass that control and install that new flavour ?

Eirikr70 Only by uninstalling it from all profiles first, since F-Droid uses different signing keys but keeps the same app ID for apps in its app repository.

treequell I have only one profile. When trying to install from Droid-ify, it fails, and from Obtainium I get the message "Errors have occurred - Incompatible: [im.vector.app]"
Edit : both stores propose an update although I have uninstalled it before.

treequell Ok. Thanks a lot. I suspect it might be related to that issue : https://github.com/vector-im/element-android/issues/7607, so the problem would be Element specific.

In the end I had success installing it ... With no apparent cause ! The mysteries of computers !
