Hello.
I've bought used 6 Pro, the seller stated that it is rebooting frequently, but it was cheap enough and OEM unlocked, so I decided to give it a try, because I thought it might be Google apps related and flashing GOS would solve it.
Long story short - it didn't.
I successfully flashed latest GOS release, and everything works fine, until it's not (reboots every 5-40 minutes, after freezing for 3-10 seconds). I thought it might be battery related (not enough voltage at peak load), but battery seems to be pretty good, it withstands discharge up to 9w, and overall lasts for a long time. It freezes even when it's charging. Phone passed multiple stress tests without any issues and with above average scores. And then it just freezes when I try to scroll settings menu or when I open calculator, for example.
I tried disabling-enabling most of the settings, tried booting into safe mode. Nothing helps.
The only strange bug I've noticed: changing resolution in Display settings does nothing. It says it's 1440p QHD+, when it's actually FHD+. Then after some time it reboots (manual rebooting does nothing) and starts with real QHD+ resolution (not always), but freezes after some time anyway.
If forum members can propose some other solution to try I would appreciate it. But I understand that this is by no means frequent issue, so my last hope is to install some older release (seller said it's all started about month ago and phone was fully updated when I got it), and if this helps, I will disable autoupdating until maybe it will be fixed someday in a new release (I've already tried alpha channel, no luck yet). Yes, I know, it's not good, but I can tolerate the risks.
The question is: does older GOS releases images exist somewhere or they are deleted immediately after new ones are uploaded?
