Re-install grapheneos (new clean installation)

What is the best way tot completely re-install grapheneos? In previous phones i did this with help of Twrp and reloaded the zip file with the custom operating system (mostly lineage os).

Can i Just simply run the installation procedure from the website?

Hello,

You can simply "factory reset" a GrapheneOS phone.
A factory reset will delete all user data, but preserve GrapheneOS system.

May be my compare with Windows is wrong, but Windows Will become slow after many years of updating. A fresh installation from time to time Will keep your system fast. But android is Linux based and i am not familliar with how updates are handeled.

For this reason i prefer a complete new install instead of a factory reset (which only delete personal data).

Giel538 not necessary to reflash whatsoever the advice given to factory reset from Hulk is sufficient and adequate.

Windows as a comparison isn't apples to apples, nor apples to oranges heck they aren't even both fruits in this regard.

Just flash it again with the latest image if you don't want to factory reset.

MetropleX well they are at least Both operating systems! And like i said. I have no Idea how Linux/android handles his updates. But i Will try the factory reset. Thanks!

Windoze intermixes data and installed applications with the operating system. Its a real ugly mess.

Android keeps the operating system strictly READONLY, and in fact will completely freak out and not boot if it is modified in any way. User data and installed applications are on a special writable partition that is completely separate.
